The University of Cincinnati Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCCEDD), has received a three-year, $1.5 million grant to lead a national coalition to establish the Center for Dignity in Healthcare for People with Disabilities (CDHPD). The grant is made possible by the Administration on Community Living and the goal is to identify and reduce life-limiting healthcare inequities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by improving access to medical protocols that reduce medical discrimination.
“See Me for Me” Videos
On behalf of the DDBP-Family Advisory Council, we are excited to share the See Me for Me videos. These 4 videos highlight our incredible patients and families, and the amazing work of our division! These videos were a creation of last year’s DDBP-FAC subcommittee which was led by Dr. Allison Blackburn, so a BIG thank you to her and the family members!
In October, The Children’s Theater of Cincinnati hosted us to show off the video and honor the stars. It was such a great celebration! There were autograph signings, yummy food, and lots of smiles!
